Figure SSA-ind-010. God Vishnu appearing in his third avatara as kaprocephalic (boar-headed) Varaha (Boar) saving the earth goddess Bhudevi (Bhumi, Prithivi, not shown) from the cosmic flood while subjugating the anthropomorphic, ophiocaude (serpent-tailed) naga holding his hands in anjalimudra intertwined with the anthropomorphic, ophiocaude (serpent-tailed) nagini, supporting a miniature lotus pedestal, both sporting the monocephalic cobra hoods and in the general attitude of submission, respect and veneration (personifications of the Ocean?).
